Contemporary thematic mapping applications require the user to configure a database to import into mapping software. Sea-rch Mapping software simplifies the process by importing a standard Sea-rch ranking report as your database and automatically defines the information you need to create a color coded map. This approach removes the complex steps usually associated with mapping programs.

Sea-rch Mapping employs easy to use dialog boxes to help you create your map. The map colors dialog provides choices for number of class intervals, colors, and data field to map. Users select the number of colors which automatically sets the map key, and the data set which sets the key title.

The Map Layers dialog is used to select the geographical levels that will appear on your map. The user selects geographic OUTLINES, geocodes, and/or geographic area names. Further the user can select line colors and font size and type. By checking the column headed ADJ the user can restrict the geographic level to those areas within the selected market area PLUS all adjacent areas. By checking the MKT column the map will be restricted to only those geographic areas within the selected market area.

Sea-rch Mapping allow the user to add city names. You can select all cities in the market area, low population levels to present all cities above a low cutoff, a medium or high cutoff level. These levels are user determined.

The map below represents all ZIP Codes within a 7 mile radius of Scarsdale, NY. ZIP Codes are color coded into quintile groups based on the number of households with incomes exceeding $100,000. Other layers are easily added to outline yellow pages distributed in this area, to depict county, MSA, TV market, and state boundaries. Business locations can are readily flagged. Traditional zoom and pan tools are available as well.

Yes, it's that simple. Sea-rch maps are functionally related to the Sea-rch report that you create. One Button Mapping takes that report, and at the click of a mouse button converts the report into a thematic map.

The map includes color coded ZIP Codes, keys, titles, radius rings (when a radius report is run) and Yellow Pages directory overlays for the directory publisher selected for your report. No other cartographic program performs these functions for you.
